Dr. Weaver earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and Mathematics from Murray State University, in Murray, Kentucky. Following undergrad, he moved to Columbia, Missouri and obtained his Master of Science degree in Physics in July of 2022 while completing his doctoral degree. At the same time, he also completed a graduate minor in College Teaching. While working in the laboratory of Dr. Gavin King, he received his Doctor of Philosophy in Physics in May of 2024. He joined the faculty at UWEC in August of the same year.

He currently lives with his wife, Taylor, who is an elementary teacher in the local school system. They also have two cats: Buyo (7 years, right) and Fred (1.5 years, left). He is very involved in the disc golf community within Eau Claire, serving on the board for the Chippewa Valley Disc Golf Organization (CVDGO), as well as the tournament director for the Tower Ridge Open. He also enjoys spending time with friends playing board games and card games!
